Tips This section will be aimed at assisting those owning or considering, Bichons, Cotons or Lhasa Apso, although everyone has their own technique or procedure I will outline how I approach coat care, training for home and the ring, and any other points of consideration. The Exhibiting link will cover the ring craft and readiness, and is aimed at the beginner who tends to have nobaody to turn too at the beginning, hopefully this section will ease the burden of those fearful of getting it all wrong. Preparation will cover the bathing and coat preparation along with any tips with regards trying to make your dog look at its very best on the day. Most likely I will have to cover each of the breeds in their own sections due to the differences in the coat and preparation of each of the breeds. Below are the shampoo and conditioners I use, along with other products I find useful in taking care of the coat and any other area's that sometimes require attention. Eventually as the site progresses I aim to have a show list, some featured show wins, any club news that the various clubs wish to submit and certain basic IKC rules. I will also include explanations of the Green star system, CC's, CACIB and the Junior Diploma and Junior Warrant certificates. It may be useful for beginners to also include the grading of dogs in the ring ( best dog, best bitch to BOB, group and finally best in show. I hopre you will continue to check this site as I progress in its development, any suggestions are most welcome Many Thanks - Peter Housebreaking Your Dog (by dog-breeds.net) |
